Well.... thinking this was going to be a click-in system..... yes, let's do this. It turned out to be a "Bosnian click-in system", which is slightly different from anything we had experience with.
Boards did not have to be clicked in one-by-one, but the whole row had to be attached first and then clicked in in total. It needed five or six people sitting on the ground and do it together. Thankfully, we received some invaluable help from a local, who turned out to be a …. laminate layer (we think): at least he was tremendously handy with the laminate and taught us how to do it. He would move between the two classrooms to get each team on the move. We would call him "Sam" and he did not want anything in return. He would only speak a little English but he could get us to get the job done eventually. It was a long day and the last floor parts (being tiny cuts that needed awful precision). Anyway, by 17.30hrs that day we would let ourselves go home..
Tomorrow we will be back to do the skirting (plintjes :). No problems expected there….
We cancelled dinner at the restaurant that night, because we had marvellous treats from the parents of the school that afternoon. They made us local food, pastries and cakes. Which made the marvellous lunch that day unnecessary. So we took those hamburgers back to the hostel as our dinner.
Tired, completely broken, but satisfied with our results we went to bed that night…..
